Sacred Circle Dance Retreat  - Cape Cod

September 10 - 15,  2017

Housing :

Options range from rooms in Woods Hole Village (for folks who come without a car) to rooms in a house in West Falmouth which is 7.5 miles from where we dance. The W.Fal. house ($250/5nights) is in a beautiful location, near

a bike path which goes to Woods Hole, easy walk to the bay. Costs in Woods Hole range from $300 to $700 depending on if you want a room to yourself and private bath.

These options have to be arranged through Bobbi bobbibysea@gmail.com.

You can find a room online on your own or consider the campground about 5 miles from Woods Hole with tent

sites, cabins, and teepees for reasonable off-season prices. https://sippewissett.com.

It’s right on the bike path if you want to avoid bringing your car into Woods Hole.

Our Program :

We begin and end each day with inspiring sessions of Sacred Circle Dancing. Our dances are delightful, rhythmic, and mesmerizing, ranging from ancient to modern, slow to lively, meditative to funny. They are easily accessible and always patiently taught. Afternoon sessions include community-led dancing and offerings by participants with time to enjoy the beauty and charm that surrounds us. In past years we’ve had beach tours, Taize singing, Chi-Gong, Sea Chanteys, Laughter Yoga, Journey Dance, Juggling... we even danced in the water at low tide!

Join us for our 7th in-depth retreat of Sacred Circle Dance and Community Spirit

as we flow with the waves and wind in this beautiful and unique seaside setting.

Bobbi Bailin is the creator of the dance retreats on Cape Cod, where she resides and has been the main teacher for the past 6 years. She has been choreographing and leading dance workshops for over 35 years in the US, England, Canada, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Her teaching style is clear and gentle, playful and reverent.  Her well-loved choreographies to delightful World Music are joyful, healing, and deeply connected to Nature. Bobbi also brings traditional dances to the circle and international gems from her travels.

"Bobbi's choreography is of a vibration both unique and eloquent, ranging from highly spiritually evocative to utterly playful.  As a teacher, her grace in dance and Alexander Technique weave into and through her circles, uplifting and aligning us, and bringing us deeply into our hearts."  (KF 2013)

Our Location:

Woods Hole is a quaint, historic village on a narrow strip of land surrounded by water on the Southeastern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We dance in the heart of the village on a smooth wood floor in the old Community Hall, located right on the water!  With beautiful vistas in all directions, swimming beaches, harbors, a scenic bike trail, and many spots of special interest, the town becomes our campus. Woods Hole is less than 2 hours from Providence and Boston - easily accessible by Peter Pan bus from the airports.  http://peterpanbus.com/

The Dance Program begins Sunday afternoon, September 10 with orientation and dancing at 4 PM.

The retreat ends at 1 PM following our last dance session on Friday, September 15.

“I had a wonderful time at the retreat!!  I can't thank you enough.... The group was just the right size and so warm and friendly. We seemed to get  to know each other immediately!     Your teaching was outstanding! “  BG 2013
